On macOS version 10.14 , the recommended approach is to install Nicotine+ using Homebrew. Stable Windows installers for Nicotine+ are available to download. Installing Nicotine+ requires administrator privileges.
Museeq, I don’t know anything about except I dont like the interface too much. I’ve never really used it, don’t need it if SoulseekQt will function. I know there are other clients like nicotine, and museeq out there but I don’t like them. If the app has been developed & compiled for Apple Silicon, select ‘Universal’.

If Nicotine+ isn’t packaged for your distribution/operating system yet, there are other recommended ways of installing Nicotine+. I suspect the problem is that the SoulseekQT is linked against a 32bit version of the libQtGui library, which isn’t present on most 64 bit installs (I’m running K/Ubuntu). So rename the binary file you downloaded to SoulseekQt and put it in /usr/bin/. I have found that putting the binary file in /usr/bin/ oracionesasanalejo.com makes for easy installation. I don’t care for all the flashing birds and crap on nicotine. I don’t think nicotine’s search capabilities are up to par. As a matter of fact I’ve tested this by running the same search on both at the same time and let me tell you there were stark contrasts.
The current stable version of Nicotine+ is 2.2.2, released on December 15, 2020. It must segfault when you try to install to a location which already has file or which already exists. I appended /qt to the path I was attempting, like in your post and it worked. ATM, I’m trying to suss out why the script doesn’t work if I don’t run it as root . i just wanted to build on eperfa’s comment and provide some suggestions on how to locally install the 32bit qt libs on a 64bit linux and start SoulseekQt32bit with it. I have the same ‘missing’ libQtGui.so.4 issue as vlotho.
