Files larger than 2GB should no longer fail to transfer is both the uploader and downloader are using this build or later. One of the things that makes Soulseek® unique is our community and community-related features. I have a Mac and I’ve been using Slsk for a few years now. I never experienced anything similar to what you’re describing. I’ve had some other problems though, searches often didn’t return any results. I assumed it had something to do with port forwarding, I tried to open them and whatnot, nothing worked.
The result is that your Mac has a fresh new look, with all the power and simplicity you know and love. While Nicotine+ does not collect any user data, the official Soulseek server or a user-configured third-party server may potentially do so. For a list of contributors to Nicotine+ and its predecessors, see AUTHORS.md. For a current list of things to do, see the issue tracker.
I almost gave up, but the issue eventually sorted itself out. I don’t know how but it works beautifully now. Internet searches and a scan through here laradiofrecuencia.net hasn’t thrown up any red flags, but I wanted to test the waters here and see if anyone has had an experience similar to mine and if so how recently.
If you have no need to modify the Nicotine+ source, you are strongly recommended to use precompiled packages for your distribution/operating system. The current stable version of Nicotine+ is 2.2.2, released on December 15, 2020. Nicotine+ aims to be a pleasant, Free and Open Source alternative to the official Soulseek client, providing additional functionality while keeping current with the Soulseek protocol. Although a bit buggy and fitted with an awkward interface, this remains the best Soulseek client for Mac. Vuze is a great utility that brings the popular Java-based BitTorrent client to a new level of stability, usability, and speed. Instead of showing a plain error message, failure to log in will now show a dialog explaining that the username may have expired, and offers to let the user change their username and password. Option to disable listening ports if more than a specified number of incoming connections are created in a specified number of seconds.

SoulseekQt has somewhat different functionality compared to the 157 client interface. Find unsafe settings and passwords, suspicious add-ons and out-of-date software. It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program. It’s very likely that this is software is malicious or contains unwanted bundled software. Users are advised look for alternatives for this software or be extremely careful when installing and using this software.
The groups alleged that Soulseek is designed to permit unauthorized access to copyrighted works. The Soulseek protocol search algorithms are not published, as those algorithms run on the server. New developments are solely on the SoulseekQt client interface.

The first release was 139, which ran for about 12 months from 2002–03. Following a change in servers, a new version was released to coincide with this event. Whilst the main interface has largely remained unchanged since its inception, additional features such as the chat room ‘ticker’ were introduced into the 156 version. Soulseek was taken to court in 2008 by two French music industry groups.
